Baby Announcement (For Friend)

11 Sep

Image
I was beyond thrilled to find out my friend was expecting a tiny surprise soon. In fact, I’ve had several friends lately to find out they were expecting (hey, it was a very rainy and gray summer…) I was very honored when my friend asked me to come up with a cute announcement card to post on Facebook. How awesome is that? Such a special moment to share with friends and family. Ah, I just love it. Worse part was keeping it a secret for almost a week.

Cards are in the shop here, available in 3 different color schemes.

Today’s Mom: Hand Lettering

27 Aug

I was excited to have some liberty at work on a new project to play around with hand lettering. The above is a section of a new tote bag (grocery store bag) we are producing. We’re working with a nutrition program called Today’s Mom and it’s about educating new mommies on healthy food choices. The bag is in comp stage right now, so the art and wording hasn’t been finalized but I wanted to show a glimpse of the project right now.

I’ve resolved to try to enter more contests this year. After several failed attempts at design competitions I became very weary of entering but I gave it a go for Minted’s New Year Challenge. The cards are in the voting stages, so if you’re a mintie and don’t mind, I’d love for you to go vote for my card! I’d really appreciate it. Here’s for keeping resolutions in 2013. Half way there.

You can vote by clicking here or the badge on the right side bar of my page.

Sean Tulgetske-Hand Lettering

19 Mar

I stumbled across Sean Tulgetske yesterday. I actually had seen and even loved some of his work before I knew who the artist was, but it’s always nice to finally put a person with a piece you admire. His hand lettering is very inspiring. I’ve broken out the pens and pencils since. Below are a few of my favorites.

Fall’s A’comin: New Collection of Cards

11 Sep

I’m so excited to be launching my fall line today. The air the past few days has held a chill at night and I’ve totally indulged in a few batches of Pumpkin Muffins. I couldn’t hold back any longer. Please take a look-sie at the new goodies.

1. New Autumn line cards-we have a Barn Owl for those owl lovers out there (myself included), A ‘Hello’ card made out of tree limbs, vines, and fall foliage, A mixture of fall lovelies, and a ‘Give Thanks’ pumpkin card perfect for Thanksgiving. Can’t choose? Well I have the set for you. These all include a kraft envelope with a hand painted gold edge.

2. Eat Seasonal Wall Calendar-derived from the Eat Seasonal Print I made a 12-month wall calendar. Each month shows a grouping of three lovely illustrated fruits and veggies good for that month.

3. Halloween cards- I’ve brought back my chocolate loving zombie card and added a new set of adorable bats. I don’t know about you but I’m in a festive Halloween mood this year. Stay tuned for some party ideas including a DIY Halloween Invite that’s sure to send out some spooks.
